It seems like it's been SOOO long since I've blogged (yes, it has been a while).
Last week marked a new stage of transistion for me. I began work at the UCSF Ophathalmology Department. But the most significant moment of the week was a realization that I actually might be getting to old for Hello Kitty. Is that possible??
I was at a sanrio store last week things were fine while I was in the store. However when I realized that I probably should switch my makeup bag from hellokitty to something more professional, the idea that I may be too old for Hello Kitty suddenly struck me. Devestating...
Work is going well, so far only one of my bosses is around and I've only seen him a few times since I've started. I like the autonomy that I have at my job, there is no micromanagement hovering my shoulders.
What I like most about my job is not the exact duties or my day to day responsibilities. I really like being in the medical environment and this job is helping me to see a more academic side to medicine so that I can really evaluate this setting in my pursit of medicine and to get a better idea of where the Lord is leading. I feel extremely blessed to be here, to have a great officemate, and enough privacy that I can think some things through in my office.
It was fun last week just hanging out with different people after work and not having any kind of responsibilities hanging over my shoulder. However I look forward to some rest and peace...maybe even soem reading...NO HOMEWORK! yea baby (that's the best part of working)!

Today was a beautiful day. I really enjoyed having the chance to eat breakfast (it is my most favorite meal) because somebody I had to pick up was running late. I went to Noah's bagels to get a bite and it was very yum yum...
I was a bit shocked at the sermon today because the speaker read out of John 21: 12 which says, "Come and have breakfast." It's a little strange but it represented a display of God's grace for me.
I had mixed feelings about eating that bagel this morning...on the one hand I could show up to church on time and ditch someone I was picking up (and not eat a bagel) or I could exercise some grace and patience with a fellow sister, which was a no brainer because I love this sister (and thus get to eat a bagel). Of course God being God, showered His grace on me (as symbolized by the bagel)and I learned that although I fight to be at church on time, sometimes there are more important things to note. Bye bye legalism.
In the John passage, Jesus allowed for fellowship to take place over a simple meal before getting down to the love business with Peter. Likewise, the bagel promoted some fellowship to take place before getting down to the nitty grittys of going to church on time (which is something I have always been very particular about).
It goes to show that God does do things His way and not ours. Who would've known that I could learn an important but simple lesson from a bagel that costs $1.99??
Fifififififi graduated today. Deb and I showed up "fashionably late" enough to take pictures at the end. CONGRATS FIFI!! Crepevine was really fun, there's nothing like good fellowship with good food and good prayer. It's all good...
It was really cool hanging with some old friends (who are "reaching middle age"). For the sake of argument, RANCH 99 ^ infinity , period.

I haven't blogged in a LONG while. Senior year is wrapping up and it has been relaxing having a looser schedule. Today was my last day of tutoring for my middle-schoolers. It was fun and I am going to miss seeing them each week (I think =P).
Joanne's birthday is tomorrow!
Tomorrow is also our very last "normal" Crossroads night and we end with a big sha-bang eating ice cream in SF (a longtime Crossroads tradition).
My car was getting messed up today. When I thought about it, I realized that the Altima is 9 years old! It has been good and I wonder how much longer it will be alive.
Speaking of life and death...
I feel as if my baby (labtop) is going to die on me soon. I have been organizing some files and my brozer warned me to make a backup. I better do so quickly =l... These days the baby feels like it has been getting feverish. I don't know if it is the weather or if it really is facing its last days (sigh).

I am reminded of freshman year as I study long hours at VLSB library on a wonderful Sunday. I am a nerd, not a turd or a kurd. =P Cheers!
